Coyotes on the Front Range

Called “God’s Dog” by some Native Americans, coyotes can be seen in many areas throughout Colorado and live in communities all along the Front Range. Clever and adaptable, coyotes have adjusted well to human environments and in populated areas they are less fearful of people. They can also blend in very well to their environments so often you have to look closely or you might just walk by one without even noticing.

These photos were taken in Boulder, CO using Canon’s 100-500mm telephoto lens.
